Chengdu Arrival

The first day is predicted for arrival and settling in so no other organized activities are available.

Attractions:, Jinli Old Street, Wu Hou Temple, Half Day Tour to Sanxingdui Ruins
Jinli Ancient Street
Jinly Old Street is the first stop of the day. Here you will be able to see how one of the commercially most important places in the Chinese history looks nowadays. A lot of the handcraft is available there and it is an ideal place to get some souvenirs or taste a local snack. After that, the tour goes to Wu Hou Temple. This place is dedicated to the Marquis of Wu, the general and military expert who is one of the main characters in the famous Poem of Three Kingdoms. The temple is consisted of several halls and a park and even a tomb of Emperor Liu Bei can be seen there. Also, this day is predicted for the tour to Sanxingdui Ruins. These are the ruins of the ancient city, over 3 millenniums old. There you can see some amazing artefacts made out of jade, copper, bronze, gold or bones. The place is still under the excavation and it is worth every minute you spend there. The lunch today is served at local Restaurant which offers two options. You can order either fried food or you can decide to take the steamed meal. Meals: Breakfast and a lunch at local Restaurant

Attractions:, Panda Breeding and Research Center, Panda Keeper and Psychologist for a day
Panda Breeding and Research centre is the first stop of the day. The visit lasts for 2.5 hours and you can see both Giant and Lesser Panda bears there, as well as many other endangered and rare species. The Panda Museum is also a part of this complex and you can buy souvenirs there. There is also an option of participating in the activities of the centre for a day. You can apply for the program and it includes feeding, bathing and cleaning after Giant Pandas. Naturally, the physical contact is forbidden, although there is an option of getting a picture with an adult Panda bear for RMB 500 or while holding a Panda Bear cub for RMB 1000. They do not accept credit cards so you will be needing cash for this. Also, there is no guarantee that these activities will be available on the specific day. It is all solely up to the management of the centre and you do need a bit of luck to enter this program. Meals: Breakfast and a Chinese Lunch
