Rob and Susan 's Feedback on 14-Day China Tour

Client: Rob and Susan
Tour Date: September 8, 2012 - September 21, 2012
Tour Title: Silk Road Adventure by Shangri-La Express from Beijing to Urumqi
Thank you and your travel company very much for working with us to get our Tibet travel permit as part of your China tour, as well as working with us with our many changes and troubles with Susan’s employment company with their revised vacation policy and the delay that this caused us. You were the only travel company that made an attempt to have Tibet include in our travels, and you were successful.

Vanessa: We returned from our trip several weeks ago and would like to comment on several things.

1. THANK YOU: Thank you and your travel company very much for working with us to get our Tibet travel permit as part of your China tour, as well as working with us with our many changes and troubles with Susan’s employment company with their revised vacation policy and the delay that this caused us. You were the only travel company that made an attempt to have Tibet include in our travels, and you were successful. Thanks.

2. TOUR GUIDES: All of our guides were excellent. We were very pleased that at every destination we were met with a smiling tour guide. Not once did we have to worry about where to go or what to do after debarking from a plane or train.

3. A SPECIAL TOUR GUIDE: Our first guide (Beijing), Amy, was especially OUTSTANDING!!! We would recommend her for any commendation or award that your company might give to their staff/contractors for excellent customer service and excellent customer satisfaction. She went way above and beyond the normal call of duty of a tour guide and made us feel special and very comfortable at being in a foreign land. In the three days we were with her we felt as though we came to know her as one of the family.

When Rob became sick in Tibet, Dekyi also went way above and beyond the normal call of duty by escorting us through the local hospital system. We really appreciated her services during our stay in Tibet, and especially for helping with the hospital visit. Dekyi was great!!!

4. VEHICLES: We had one vehicle break down; however, we chose to walk with our guide the remaining distance to our destination rather than wait for a replacement car – which was just fine with us. In those few blocks we got to experience the local environment a little better. In other words, in this case, the vehicle breakdown was not a serious problem and inadvertently presented an opportunity for us to see a little bit of China a little differently. Another issue we have with some vehicles was a lack of trunk room for all of our luggage and bags. We had what we considered a normal amount of luggage for a two-week trip overseas – two large suitcases, two carry-on suitcases, one backpack, and one small women’s travel bag. Vehicles with a greater amount of luggage space would have been better.

Thank you again for your great assistance in arranging our China and Tibet tour. For anyone looking to go to China we will not hesitate to recommend you as their tour director and China Highlights as their tour company.

Thanks, Rob and Susan
