I wanted to take the time to send a note about the high level of service that Vanessa provided in planning my recent 2 week trip to China through China Highlights. I went back to her multiple times to ask about options in the main trip and then in adding pieces at the beginning and end that were not standard. She also had someone check into info. Relating to where my parents married years ago in Qingdao. She always responded very quickly, even on a weekend once despite her out of office message being on, and was patient and helpful.

The trip itself went off perfectly in terms of all the hotel and air arrangements, involving 5 national flights, aside from the int'l flights that I booked, and China Highlights local staff being on hand to meet us and then conduct the tours. I manage a customer support team in a corporate setting where our client pay anywhere from a few thousand to millions of dollars for our products and services, and have worked in this area for over 20 years.

Therefore, I tend to be very aware of the type of service I get in my personal life. Vanessa's service was excellent! I also appreciated the unsolicited mails with bits of info on China or reminders for final prep for the trip, even a birthday greeting to my one daughter. Obviously, this goes beyond just Vanessa herself to the policies of the company to make customers feel that they made the right decision in booking with China Highlights, get us excited about the trip and make is feel a level of personal interest, even through e-mail and although thousands of miles away and 12 hours in time difference.
