Nicholas's Feedback on 14-Day China Tour

Client: Nicholas (Male)

Tour Title: 14 Days Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou Tour
The Old Summer Palace was really beautiful and relaxing. Our guide Ada told us that it was not a common attraction for her tours. It really was more amazing than some of the standard attractions (New Summer Palace or Temple of Heaven, etc.). It also contained a very interesting section of ruins and a labyrinth.

Sammi,

The tour with China highlight had exceeded expectation.

This was the best tour itinerary for us. With children, we were worried about not overdoing the pace, and we were pleased how it turned out. There were only a couple of long days.

Our family’s favorite was the Great Wall. We all enjoyed the high-speed train mode of transport (though our large quantity of luggage was a challenge). Also, the Tang Dynasty dinner and Show in Xian was quite memorable and delightful (not originally part of our itinerary, but suggested by our guide). We also really enjoyed the Old Summer Palace near Beijing.

The two standouts were Ada in Beijing and Chris in Xi’an. Ada had a relaxed manner and the children were very comfortable with her. Chris went above and beyond with her service. She stayed with us throughout the evening (unscheduled) recommending a dinner & show (which she arranged for us and accompanied us). Even during dinner, she held our sleeping baby while we ate. On the following morning, we worked in another unscheduled visit to the Muslim shopping street.

The driver in Xi’an was our favorite, both in terms of safe-driving and friendly attitude. In Beijing, we had an infinite car seat for safety, which was nice, though Beijing city driving was pretty aggressive. The driving in Hangzhou was uncomfortable (very jerky, sudden jolts and stops and swerves) and we didn’t always feel safe (unnecessary aggressive passing). It would be a nice improvement to have child car seats in all cities.

About the hotel, the best quality were Hilton Beijing, Peninsula Shanghai, and Hyatt in Hangzhou. All three of these were great locations, comfortable and luxurious. The Hilton gave a free stuffed Panda to our 3-year old when he was crying in the lobby (very friendly). The Peninsula in Shanghai was very luxurious and great location for evening strolls on the Bund or Nanxing street. In Suzhou, the Holiday Inn was great location for evening stroll access to tourist canal street. It was a star or two beneath the others (which we expected) but still quite comfortable. The only downside was the quality of the breakfasts, which while having a wide-selection was a bit sub-standard (hot foods were cooled, etc).

We will recommend your company to our friends andcolleagues, particularly for flexibility and customizability.

The phone you provide was really convenient. I had a brief problem with one of my credit cards and was able to call the bank to correct the issue. Even if we hadn’t needed to use it, it was a comfort knowing we had it.

Regards.

Nicholas
