Bradford's Feedback on 23-Day China Tour

Leon, We had a great time in China, thanks to your excellent preparation. The guides were all excellent, with the exception of Jack in Shanghai. Tony (Hangzhou), Doris (Dengfeng and Luoyang), Cathy (Xi'an) and Momo (Beijing) all were very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Doris even went out of her way to purchase some medicine for one of our group who had constipation. This is much more than we could have ever expected. Momo in Beijing was essential when we had problems with the hotel. (We had chosen the hotel, and so we recognize that our disappointment with it rests solely with us). The hotel tried to give us rooms that were of a lesser grade than we had booked, and two of the rooms were not very clean. However, Momo resolved the situation for us very well. What we liked was that the guides listened to us, and when we felt tired, they rearranged the schedules for us. Doris, in Dengfeng, even arranged for us to visit a nearby dam when we found out about it. That type of interaction with us was fantastic! Cathy in Xi'an carefully examined the weather forecasts and changed our schedules so that we could ride the bicycles on the wall when it would be dry -- a little touch that we really appreciated. The hotel in Luoyang was a lot of fun -- having the spaceship decor! The meals in each hotel for breakfast were good and filling. The only meal problem was in Xi'an for lunch, when we showed up at a restaurant and it was closed, so Cathy had to find another one -- which was not very good. Brad
