Kristi's Feedback on 17-Day China Tour

Mary our guide was the perfect person to show us the villages and find tasty places to eat, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were able to experience local life (including scouting out a place to photograph the water buffalo fighting, which was so very helpful for me!)

I just wanted to say what an excellent job all of your staff did in planning our recent trip to China! Our travel advisor Leon was able to help me plan our trip although it was a bit last minute as I was traveling to Beijing for business. He did a very good job planning our trip for us in November 2009, which is why I contacted him again for our October 2010 trip as soon as I knew we were visiting China again. I felt confident that I could leave the details in his hands and that confidence was not misplaced- our trip was fantastic and we were well cared for every step of the way.

I was travelling on my own in Beijing, but my guide Jeff made my 5 day trip so much more enjoyable than if I had been entirely on my own. Being a photographer I was interested in capturing different angles and interesting lighting situations, and Jeff knew each of the locations so well that he suggested the best views and most interesting parts of the various places that we visited. Having Jeff as my guide was like visiting Beijing with a friend, and I felt comfortable and safe while having an amazing time. I couldn't recommend him more highly as a guide.

The Lusheng Festival was a part of our tour which I was particularly excited about, as an opportunity to meet local people and have true local food, and see what life is like for the Miao people. Mary our guide was the perfect person to show us the villages and find tasty places to eat, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were able to experience local life (including scouting out a place to photograph the water buffalo fighting, which was so very helpful for me!) Her knowledge about Miao life and culture was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people in the villages who were friends of hers. It isn't often that Westerners have access to locations such as the Miao villages, and Mary helped us make the most of our experience with her expertise and knowledge.

We have enjoyed our tours with China Highlights, and as I mentioned to Leon I have recommended your company to my travel agents in the UK who are looking for more authentic tours in China.
